iMatter: Employee Engagement in the Aberdeen City HSCP

iMatter has allowed us all to focus together on areas where we can improve our work experience; and through that improve the services we provide to the people who use them.

Working at all levels across the organisation, we are looking at key issues and have started carrying out the action plans that we've developed.

It's a process rather than just a one off activity and it's making a difference already. Download our story for more details on how we are using iMatter.

What Has iMatter Meant for Aberdeen City HSCP?

For Managers - it has increased awareness of issues and help focus on resolving them.

For staff, engagement is better and staff have reported feeling more appreciated and listened to.
For service users, the increased cohesion has allowed us to work closer together to improve our services.
For the organisation, the chief officer and executive management team’s action plan has allowed work to focus on the three lowest scores within the Partnership’s report.

  • I feel senior managers responsible for the organisation are sufficiently visible
  • I feel involved in decisions relating to my organisation
  • I am confident performance is managed within my organisation

These actions and the Partnership’s report will also form the benchmark for the Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership’s Employee Engagement Strategy
